Genesis 1:27 The painting makes visible our connectedness to the cosmos, our dependency on the elements of nature: the oxygen we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat and Earth upon which we walk and live our lives.In the lower left of the painting I added a separate panel to symbolize God’s gift to us of Free Will and of how we have divided up Creation/Nature into our own design and for our own profit. This has brought us to the Cosmic Climate Crisis in which we find ourselves, best described in Pope Francis’ 2nd Encyclical LAUDATO Si’.
