Before Birth, Mary at the Manger

Before Birth, Mary at the Manger

By A.Vonn Hartung

A giclee print of the original painting by A.Vonn Hartung. There was no room for them in the inn. Lk 2:7 Mary at the manger—Taking us back to the first Christmas Eve, this is also a painting of our own time because it reminds us that at the Birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus was born in an obscure little town, in a stable, and in a manger. There were only his Mother Mary and his father Joseph, the donkey that carried Mary there, and animals that lived in and around the stable. These Animals are Symbols of God’s Sacred Creation. The only other humans were not yet there, but the 3 Wise Men/Magi were approaching from the East and the Shepherds were about to be called by Angels and told that the King of Kings was born nearby in a manger, so follow His Star!!!
